I can think of a couple of things I am thankful for this year.

First, I'm thankful that the elections are over! I get so incredibly sick of the ads and the mailings. It's almost as bad as the Christmas music that starts well before Thanksgiving, and never ends!

Secondly, I'm thankful that Joe DiNicola is no longer the President of SEIU Local 503. I only wish that it was goodbye-and-good-riddance. Unfortunately he's still around, wasting oxygen as the Immediate-past President. Not only does he sometimes repeat himself over-and-over—I know, I know, how is that any different?—now he even refers to himself in the third person.
